Thank you for registering for Panhellenic Primary Recruitment 2026 for the Statesboro campus! We hope that you are as excited as we are! Please take a moment to carefully read all of the information below:

I REGISTERED NOW WHAT?
You will receive an email in the next few weeks regarding your GPA eligibility as well as detailed information regarding the recruitment process. Please remember that if you are ineligible due to GPA no refunds will be given. If you used an email address other than your Georgia Southern email, please log in and change it to your Georgia Southern email. You must complete the following four learning modules on Prevent Zone to participate in recruitment.

  • Brave & Bold Dialogues
  • Decisions: Alcohol Awareness & Education
  • Hazing Prevention 101
  • Fraternity and Sorority Life

To access the learning modules follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your Prevent Zone Georgia Southern account:
    •  (You will have to create an account with your Georgia Southern student email address if you have not logged in before)
  2. Navigate to "Available Courses"
  3. View and complete the Hazing Prevention and Fraternity and Sorority Life modules

Completion of these three modules is a requirement for all potential new members and are due no later than Friday, August 7, 2026. 

SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO FOR SORORITY RECRUITMENT:
This year, the first round of Sorority Recruitment will be a Video Round! A Video Round means that you will submit a video that will be viewed by the Sororities, and you will also watch videos filmed by the Sororities on-campus to learn more about them! You will submit your first set of selections at the end of the Summer prior to Sorority Recruitment Week, after watching all organization's videos!

When you receive your email confirming your eligibility, you will be enrolled in an online course for Sorority Recruitment in your Georgia Southern Folio account. This Folio will have all of the information you need including:

  • Where/How to Submit the Video
  • Length/Requirements for the Video
  • What to Talk about in Your Video

Please review all of the information about the Video Round in the online Folio course prior to reaching out to Panhellenic with any questions. If you still have questions after reviewing the information, you may email pha@georgiasouthern.edu.


EARLY MOVE-IN FOR STUDENTS LIVING ON-CAMPUS
Students living on-campus and participating in Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment are eligible for early move-in. Early move-in will be on Tuesday, August 11th. You will be receiving an email directly from University Housing in mid-July with instructions on registering for an early move-in time slot. Potential New Member Orientation will happen later that afternoon, after all participant's have moved in.

POTENTIAL NEW MEMBER BILL OF RIGHTS

  • The right to be treated as an individual.
  • The right to be fully informed about the recruitment process.
  • The right to ask questions and receive true and objective answers from Pi Chis.
  • The right to be treated with respect.
  • The right to be treated as a capable and mature person without being patronized.
  • The right to ask how and why and receive straight answers.
  • The right to have and express opinions to Pi Chis.
  • The right to expect confidentiality when sharing information with Pi Chis.
  • The right to make informed choices without undue pressure from others.
  • The right to be fully informed about the binding agreements implicit in the preference card signing.
  • The right to make one’s own choice and decision and accept full responsibility for the results of that decision.
  • The right to have a positive, safe, and enriching recruitment and pledging experience.
HAZING POLICY AT GEORGIA SOUTHERN
  1. Any act, intentional or unintentional, regardless of a Student's willingness to participate in such activity, which subjects a Student to an activity which, for the purpose of initiation, admission into, affiliation with, or as a condition for continued membership, office, or other status in a Group or Organization:
    1. Endangers or is likely to endanger the emotional, mental, financial, or physical health or safety of a Student (including, but not limited to, acts that cause or are likely to cause physical discomfort, embarrassment and/or ridicule),
    2. Coerces a Student through the use of social or physical pressure to consume any food, liquid, alcohol, drug, or other substance which subjects the Student to a likely risk of vomiting, intoxication, or unconsciousness, iii. Destroys or removes public or private property.
  2. Any other activity that meets the definition of “hazing” under applicable law, including but not limited to the “Max Gruver” Legislation Senate Bill 85 (see the following link for full policy: Max Gruver Legislation).”

The Hazing Hotline has been set up as a way for individuals to anonymously report acts of hazing on the Georgia Southern University campus. All calls to the Ethics Hotline will be handled in a confidential manner. We thank all those willing to join the fight to stop hazing in our community by reporting any acts of hazing that they may be aware of on our campus.

CONTACT POLICIES PRIOR TO AND DURING RECRUITMENT

Positive Panhellenic contact (as outlined in the NPC Manual of Information) should be centered around the goal of proactive, positive contact between Potential New Members and chapter members.

Positive Panhellenic contact includes:
  • Positive electronic contact between sorority members and potential new members.
  • Conversations about the sorority experience, registering for recruitment, and Panhellenic values.
  • Conversations about the benefits of participating in recruitment, not specific to any one organization.

Positive Panhellenic contact does not include:

  • Gatherings hosted by sororities that include potential new members (ex: teas, parties, trips).
  • Potential new members staying with sorority members (ex: spending the night at a member’s house).
  • Speaking negatively of other chapters or bid promising.
